About West Deer Township VFC No. 3

West Deer Volunteer Fire Company #3 proudly operates out of a single station located at 4418 Gibsonia Road.

In 2021, we purchased this building — doubling the size of our previous station — and got to work transforming it into a fully functional firehouse. Countless volunteer hours went into demolition, construction, cleaning, and moving equipment to make it operational.

To date, we’ve secured approximately $1.4 million in grant funding, which supports our three-phase construction plan:

• Phase 1 — Completed: Renovations to make the building operational as a fire station.
• Phase 2 — Relocating the building’s electrical service to add a 4th garage door, enclosing the back overhang to create additional garage bays (for a total of 6), adding a training area and a commercial kitchen to our social hall.
• Phase 3 — Planned for the future: Building bunk rooms and showers, along with private member space to support around-the-clock staffing and training.

We’re proud of the progress we’ve made — and we’re excited to continue growing and improving to better serve the residents of West Deer Township.
